Visual Essay Portals

Juan David Cadena

“Portals” is a visual exploration that seeks to find common points between two cities, Buenos Aires and Bogotá. Juan arrived in Buenos Aires in 2022, an extraordinary but foreign city. Through the designed window bars, he found an anchoring point with Bogotá, his hometown. Exploring the shapes and figures framed in the windows, he became more familiar every day with a city that no longer seemed as intimidating as it did upon his arrival.
