Visual Essay MIGRARSE

Fernanda Pinilla Abril

This is the memory of a journey in search of my own self. It emerges from memories kept as treasures, maps of imaginary distances, and fragments of characters seeking their own adventure. This visual essay gathers pieces created at different moments, transforming the personal experience of migrating into a graphic language of search and discovery. This is the memory of a journey in search of my own self. Fernanda Pinilla Abril

Drawn to both painting and illustration, she combines both practices by integrating them into diverse projects. Her primary interest in illustration lies in large-scale formats through muralism; she is passionate about storytelling and exploring narratives across different mediums and materials. Since 2018, she has developed her career independently, exploring a visual language that moves between the warmth of traditional techniques—such as acrylics and colored pencils—and the possibilities of the digital environment. She has worked for schools, bookstores, libraries, and public spaces, while also developing her own body of work, where she consolidates her personal artistic identity.
