Visual Essay FIRE

Maria Chevalier

FIRE is based on a true story. It tells the tale of an invasion of a rapidly growing plague that turns the protagonist's life into an odyssey, to the point where she feels that the itching, insomnia, isolation, and failure of possible solutions push her toward madness. On that edge, desperation drives her to make the drastic decision to fight hand-to-hand against the mites, to die and be reborn with the smile of knowing she is part of a universal spiral where there are no winners or losers, only experiences.
