Visual Essay The inevitable, the stones, a fallen tree

Lulú Maranzana

How many ways are there to think about death? What do I associate with it? Can I see it as something positive as well as sad? In what world does death exist? What does it look like?

The Inevitable, the Stones, a Fallen Tree is a visual essay that seeks to explore the theme of death as a natural part of life through different ideas, images, and universes.

Thank you to my peers and teachers for all their contributions, which helped this project grow so much.

Lulú Maranzana

She is an illustrator, graphic designer, and teacher who lives in CABA, Argentina. She loves to ask herself questions, and it’s usually because of these questions that new worlds appear. Lulú uses illustration to bring them to life and tell their stories. She’s convinced that within drawing, everything is possible. She’s always exploring universes full of nature, cozy spaces, and adventures (big and small). She is interested in friendship, acceptance, change, the cycle of life, and the little treasures of everyday life.
